Rolf-Juergen Bruess, founder and owner of STTEC is connected to guitars and guitar music since he first touched such a musical instrument when he was 9 years old.
In the last 20 years he mainly collected and played guitars made by the japanese guitar craftsmen at Takamine. His special interest focused on the Takamine Limited Guitar Series. The first of these fine instruments was available in 1987. Since then every year Takamine presented one limited edition guitar with changing materials, extraordinary inlays and state of the art inbuilt electronics to enable amplification of the natural sound.
In the year 2006 Mr.Bruess started a project collecting all available data about these guitars and made a lot of detailed photos and put all together in a beautiful full color hardcover book for collectors and guitarists. The book "The Art Of Wood And Tone" is available since November 2007.
The book was printed as limited edition with only 2700 copies distributed worldwide.
